Absolute Black: scaring and bleaching

Hi,
I recently had Absolute Black granite installed in my kitchen. After installation I sealed the granite with 511 sealer from Home Depot. Ive only used the counter a few times and we immediately had waterspots and rings from bottles. My girlfriend used the green side of a sponge to try to remove one of the spots (thinking it was just dirty) and now there is a large dull/scratched spot where the finish seems to be worn away. I don't think that the finish could be worn away so easy with a plastic sponge, so Im wondering if we recieved something other than granite. Anyways, here are the pictures and please ignore the light reflections.
