Marks on Granit

I have dragged a ceramic canister, which unfortunately had a rough bottom, across my granite counter. It marked my counter. The marks cannot be detected by rubbing your finger over them, but I can see the marks it left. Anyway to remove the marks without having to ask a professional smooth the granite with a machine??
